  • This is really tertiary in a good way…black tea leaves, preserved lemon, caramelized undertones, sweetness mostly gone. Really good with Vietnamese food, which hides the only flaw- a somewhat weak finish.

  • Didn't take notes, drank a week ago. Nose of honeyed lemon, color was a brilliant golden color, flavors were magnificent and difficult to describe, honeyed citrus, was sweet, no bitterness, the only downside was that it was lacking a bit on the mid-palate. Had a real nice acidity, paired well with whatever was thrown at it and was excellent on its own. Could still taste this the next day. This was excellent!

  • AP#9. Cork showing the tiniest amount of long ago seepage - very high fill. Deep, bright, burnished golden color. The nose explodes ripe red apples, followed by a precise, rich, sublime, talc/slate, ripe golden honey fruited marzipan nuanced almost auslese sweetness, laserlike supporting acidity, and a fairly long dry finish. Glorious. 93pts pure quality, 94pts personal preference.
Second night - this is knitting more, lengthening, and the mouthwatering Saar acidity is blazing, supporting all that ripe nuanced fruit. Just fantastic. Upgraded, easily, to 95 pts.
