Mineral, stone fruit, and leflaive-like sesame on the nose. Palate was mineral-driven but it was on the lean side. Hopefully, it will develop more nutty flavours with aging while the acidity profile should allow it to do so.

Lisa's Big Birthday with Very Good Wine (Riverwoods, IL): Served double blind to the tasting group alongside the 2011. Shockingly fresh. Toasted hazelnut and almond butter with baked apple. Classic Meursault for me. Very good weight, good length. Still wonderful when revisited an hour after opened. My 2nd to last bottle from a case purchased near release, this was the best from the past few years.

Started slightly musty, but cleaned up in 10-15 minutes. Lots of orchard fruit throughout, very impressive concentration for its level. Very good length. Kept getting better over the first hour+, then held steady for the next couple of hours. So enjoyable.
