Had in SF with good friends. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry and peach blossom. The body is medium/full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
I guess my note kinda runs counter to most of CT, I thought this wine was pretty good. Still really youthful on the palate and not at all rustic like the Rich/LT are right now from the vintage. Pretty perfumed floral nose and an electric amount of bright cherry fruit. Textbook example of a purity on the palate. Would have been my WOTN if it wasn't for the 95 Rousseau CDB. Both had wonderful fruit, the rousseau just had a longer finish.
B Li dinner with Julian/Ada, Eugene/Katherine (Gaddi's): Julian did warn that the bottle endured a "rocky ride" on the way, which explained the presence of sediment in every glass! Notes of leather and sweet earth, with a hint of soy sauce which I didn't enjoy. Tannins a little harsh at the end.
