Had this with Filet Mignon at a local steak house and it was excellent. Really dark crimson color. Lovely, subtle nose of red fruit and a hint of eucalyptus. Full bodied though not as full and rich as the really high end California cabs. Nice finish. Still showing some moderate tannins and could possibly have benefitted from another year or two. Quality wine for certain.
It has been a couple of years since my last bottle and this one was disppointing. No obvious signs of taint but this bottle was quite muted. Nothing bad but also nothing of interest. I'll write this one off as being flawed. Could possibly have been tainted enough to kill the palate but not enough to show obvious signs. No better on day 2. A shame because I really like the Juslyn cabs. - not rated
