Blind White Tasting with Top 2000 White Burgundy (Les Nomades - Chicago IL): Apple and lemon peel throughout, this was easy to enjoy from the first sniff to the final sip. This was a great coiled bundle of energy that would have made me think it much younger if tasted blind. Moderate power and length.

Pretty nose of white flowers, stone, lemon, and a slight note of oxidation; nice texture, balance, and acidity; at first a seemingly soft, lemon meringue that surprisingly transforms with a watercress/ arugula peppery quality at the back of the palate that builds and takes hold in the glass. Nice, but this seems to be slightly past peak. Not likely to fall apart any time soon, but I don't see much upside left to holding.

Beautiful, classic Puligny nose; minerals, apples, stone fruits; great mouthfeel, thick, but buoyed by great acidity providing nice lift and cut. Very pretty.

Last of the lot I had. A really solid 1er. Intense yet with good cut and verve. Certainly enjoyable now if still coiled a bit.
