Rich low pitched savory nose with mineral, but also some nuttiness. Orange colored, but clearly not an orange wine (not just red grapes, also no oxidation). Fairly rich mid palate by rose standards. Long fruit laden finish with apricot peels.
P.S. Switched from a rose glass to a Riedel dry riesling glass (tall narrow). Lost some of the nose, but the intense mineral concentration in the mid palate really came through.

There are roses that you casually drink this time of year, as a frivolous welcome to the warmer season. This isn't one of those wines. Light salmon, slightly darker than onion skin, color. Impressive aromatically with great floral and apple character. Medium to full bodied on the palate with impressive length. Long lingering pure strawberry fruit flavor is what makes this so impressive. Fantastic pairing with whole grilled fish.

(Domaine Comte Abbatucci Faustine Rosé) Light salmon pink color; light floral, light orange cream nose; tasty, delicate, orange cream, tart light strawberry palate; medium finish (not exactly a bargain at about $32, but an elegant rosé)
