  • Thin but solid cork with very little infiltration. Pulled out with 2 prong extractor, and right near the end of inserting the cork began to push in, but was able to extract cleanly. Clearly one of the thinner corks I've encountered, which would be fine if the bottle opening was also smaller, but don't think it is. Too much info on cork, sorry. Heady bouquet this time around, and color is on the golden side. Fruit is clearly evolved and not as prominent as my prior tasting in 2020, but now thicker and denser on the tongue, as if the wine is more viscous. The flavor is clearly pear, with just a hint of lychee. Sweetness coupled with viscosity made for a nice taste on the palate. This wine is clearly evolving into something greater than its components. I didn't mind the slight fall off of fruit as a result. This producer is one of the more sure bets for me. I've opted to drink these earlier than what CT is showing, but if you have any and haven't opened as of yet, now is a good time to try. This should continue to age and evolve but I would hate to discover the fruit has receded, so perhaps drink within the next 5 years. Definitely worthy of purchase, especially in good vintages, but not consistently offered at my local stores.

  • Still holding on. A bit more matured from my last try in 2017, but nice mouthfeel and sweetness. Again, this is a good producer, well reviewed in publications, and a safe bet to buy. Recommended.

  • Nice wine, sweet yet balanced. Pineapple and mango for me, with a touch of apple perhaps. Nice straw to golden color but not quite at the GK color. Just the right density on the sweetness. Interested to see what further age will reveal, as there was several flavors present, and I wonder which one will take front and center next time. Recommended and hard to go wrong with this producer. And the cork was short but solid, a real plus for German wines.

  • A beautiful wine with pineapple and flowers on the nose, stone and tropical fruit including a continuation of the pineapple, citrus and spice on the palate and finishing long and lush. The only shortfall is that the sweetness is not balanced by enough acidity.
