Now 13 yrs old. Fabulous rich colours and nose. Slightly more intense than when younger. Great with fresh cheeses, or pate or cured meats. Fabulous and will last for ever.

At a tasting course: Bright Golden color. Profound Cognac prune smell, honey and hint of alcohol.(straw, a decayed smell)Green apple. Low alcohol. Off dry(medium) Medium+ acidity. Long honey finish. Chenin blanc, coteaux du layon, late harvest. Good balance(sugar, alcohol and fruit), nice length, nice intensity, good complexity. Vouvray. (Fits increasing acidity in cheese, caw, goat and sheep cheese) no3 late harvest(pick by ripeness, to select out the grey rot affected grapes, giving the moldiness. Chenin is very easily affected) Outstanding.

Darkened, luscious, honey notes over a crisp acidity. This is what aged Vouvray is all about. Just fabulous.
