Ridge Monte Bello Tasting (Cupertino, CA): A lot more mintiness than the 2014, black fruit, slight vegetal, very complex nose; palate is incredibly balanced, firm tannin, black fruit, mint, wonderful; great mouthfeel, long finish. 96-97+
Nose has intense expressivity with capsicum/green bell pepper, mint, great black fruit; palate is full bodied, rich elegant black currant, blackberry, velvety tannins, mint, just fabulous through the midpalate; long and complex finish. This is just a superb wine showing well now but with decades of potential ahead. 96-98+
