light red berry and earth on the nose. Palate is more Beaujolais than Pinot. There is a off-putting taste on the finish that really takes away from the other components of this effort. Still @ $15, it's hard to complain.
Medium light ruby red color. Nose full of tart cherry and layered forest woods and herbs. Agree with CA pinot comment, from a non-distinct region. Old world creeps in with more spice and flint than I'd normally expect. Nice, fun to try something unconventional.
Excellent varietal character with well-structured tannins. Medium to full in body. Very comparable to California PN's selling at a higher price. Good on first day, somewhat better after a few days in the wine cooler, which brought out hints of allspice. Very worth trying and a bargain at the price.
