This has put on weight since I last tried it and it is quite good. The nose is savory and meaty with red fruits and underlying damp earth. The palate has developed and is richer with more balance. There is a lovely sanguine finish. Very good.
Reduction on the nose; earthy black cherry with licorice, menthol, oak spices and natural spices with mineral come about. Good fruit density on the nose and palate. Driving and minerally on the finish, revealing a bit of red currant, widening the fruit dimension. Young and a bit awkward. 87+
At first it seemed a little herbal and green. Did it have shades of LBT? Somehow over the next 2 hours, it shed those aromas altogether. Then came florals and red fruits. The palate had good intensity and length, with some complexity. Could keep a few years.
