Butter, toffee, oak. Some mineral that helps cut it. Heat on finish detracts. Not as much lemon oil as I am used to in these Auberts, and the cut wasn't as precise as normal. Perhaps '11 was a learning year for them with this vineyard?
Creamy yellow. Nose of the buttery, vanilla side rather than the citrusy side. Taste also was similar. Kind of like a Cream Soda versus a Sprite. You can tell Aubert's hand was here, but he is working with totally different grapes.
Light gold in color, a littly hazy. Rich, extracted tropical flavors initially at cellar temp, yielding to pear and mineral notes after the wine was chilled. Smooth, clean finish, minimal oak. I enjoyed this most at cellar temperature.
