Dark garnet. Pronounced aromas of dark plum, smoke, coffee, earth, and cigar. On the palate, a progression of surprisingly fresh sweet red fruit on the front, to penetrating dark plum fruit in the middle with a strong acid frame, to a lovely lilting and very long aromatic finish. Medium body, 13.8% alcohol. Great movement and balance.

Intense floral aroma, late summer brambly blackberry bush. Sweet and salty cherry fruit on the palate with an unctuous milk chocolate not on the mid palate with a warm tannic base moving into a winding spicy aromatic morello cherry acid finish. Excellent with sheet pan sausages, apple, shallots, and brussel sprouts.

Mostly flavors of black fruit, violets, tar with moderate acidity and milder tannins. Not high alcohol extracted style. Enjoyed it but did over power a rack of lamb. Wished I had gone with a grenache-based wine.

Dark fruit, flowers, and fungus on the nose. Penetrating dense black fruit on the palate with sweet salty depth and a lovely aromatic finish. Excellent with lamb kebabs.

Shy nose of red plums, lilacs, dolmas, ash. Soft palate of light sweet fruit with a nice deepening at the back moving smoothly into an aromatic acid finish.
