I have been disappointed in this vintage of Freeman Sonoma.....which appears to mirror other cellartracker.com reviewers. This, my last bottle, was much better. I had now as the back end of the drink window for this one, but perhaps that is a little early, as it seems to have benefitted from sitting.

My rating is 90, at best. This has been one of the few Freeman offerings that has disappointed me......and it has from the first bottle. It lacks the depth/complexity and fruit of the other Freeman PNs I have.

Still nice in mid '17, though probably only has a couple of years left in in it. Generally a gentle wine, with the woody, very slightly spicy nose and backbone typical of '11. Body is holding up nicely for something on the lighter side. Finishes a little quickly - would be nice if it lingered a little longer. Very good and holding up well for an appellation blend.

Light, simple, lacks complexity and body.

Pleasant aroma, slight hint of licorice. Is acidic, but maybe a bit muted and past its best
