Opened from a magnum. Wild berries, dark fruits, menthol, earth and oak on the nose. The wine did not really open up probably due to insufficient aeration. But for a weak vintage like 2007, the wine showed some depth. I would like to revisit it in 3-5 years.
Fleshing out nicely. Not as massive as the Domaine's usual offerings, but growing in stature over time -- to be point that even now its taking on the form of one of the bigger '07s. More dark-fruited than the last sample. Tannins still need to integrate. Nice earthiness. Try again late 2017.
PnP and consumed over 4 hours. Ditto to the notes FPOLLARO wrote on 8-15-14. Very complex and pretty nose that evolved several times throughout the evening. A beautifully elegant bottle of Burgundy that can be enjoyed now or held for many years, as this will certainly improve. 94+
