Don't get the ratings this is an average Chardonnay pale light in color. Nose is soft light hints of sweet fruit and citrus. On the palate acid some citrus lime and bitter persimmon think this was a club wine

It's possible that several months of drinking lesser Chardonnays had so dulled my palate that I was overwhelmed by a slightly less than ordinary Chardonnay from the Languedoc region of France just across the Pyrenees from Spain; however, after my second glass I could not help but be impressed by the complex and sophisticated fruit accents compared to the average grocery store-bought sub-$10 bottle of Chardonnay. I love the fact that it has a slightly less tart, less crisp, less bright earthy oakiness that I do not associate with more traditional Chardonnays.
This bright yellow wine has an aroma that smells faintly of peaches, pine and rose petals with typical shorter legs, a light body and a quick finish; however, the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness have a real wow factor once you taste it.
Yes, I can definitely taste grapefruit, lychee, lemon, melon, pine and oak with an ever-so-subtle bready underpinning, but I find this is an imminently drinkable wine that compares very well with any of the similar wines that I received from my previous wine club. I highly recommend this Chardonnay and I would certainly consider purchasing this by the case for around $10 per bottle. It's commonly available for around $14 per bottle.
