N: Forest floor/earthiness with notes of pyrazines & poss wht choc?
P: LM, poss Med, body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which PRETTY much works itself out by the LONG, balanced finish with a bitter/swt (55:45), elegant aspect to the firming, dusty tannins. Deserves another 12-18 mos, then a potential candidate for its 15th? 14.5% ABV; My EXC.

Dark fruit with cedar on the nose; blackberry and black currant (and a hint of licorice on the initial pour) on the palette. Tannins have calmed down from earlier bottles and now much better integrated into the wine. Good now and improving. Likely even better in 2018 and 2019. Update Dec. 2017 - Opened and let it breathe for an hour before pouring. This let the wine come together and it was drinking extraordinarily well after that; probably worthy of a 92 rating.

More on the disappointing side. Fruit was thinner than expected and very little on the finish.

I have had this wine before and thought it was decent. This bottle was poured down the drain...not to our liking at all

Big fruit with tons of tannins. This is a pretty big wine. It's delicious.
