50% Roussanne, 25% Grenache Blanc, 20% Picpoul, 5% Marsanne brought up in a combination of stainless steel, concrete, neutral and 10% new oak. Straw yellow in the glass and shows above moderate viscosity. Aromas show notes of dehydrated mango and pineapple along side notes of pear and papaya, guava, orange blossoms, jasmine, beeswax, wet stone and hits of crayon box. The wine enters the palate with weight and an unctuous texture. The medium-plus acidity is juicy and lively. Flavors of papaya, dried mango and dried pineapple, orange curd, orchard blossom, jasmine, beeswax, earth and a very subtle ginger spice note. The finish lingers pleasantly.

You never know with central coast Rhone whites -- was worried this would be blowsy and/or over the hill already. Quite the opposite -- very fresh and youthful. Lemon, honey, green apple, mandarin orange, almond. Bright and very focused. No heat. At least a few good years left. Impressed.
