  • Drank this tonight at home with sushi and sashimi.

Clear yellow in colour with a nose that resembles a popular lemonade soft drink. On the palate the continuous fizz makes this a refreshing drink that can be easily enjoyed on its own or paired with food which are not heavily flavoured.

  • Bought this at the Wine Fair at SUTL earlier today and opened it for dinner at home tonight.

Familiar notes of sugar cane and lemon plus a hint of pineapple. Made from the the muscat grape, this wine has very pleasant entry but a short bitter finish. Nice fizz from the wine made this a very easily likeable and palatable wine.

We paired this with fried kway teow and hor fun. Not the best of pairings.

  • Drank this over dinner at home with 2 national service buddies over sashimi, sushi, potato salad, yakitori, tempura and cooked salmon.

The fizz, freshness and sweet tingling caught everyone by surprise. Would have been a better match if the acidity level was higher. Still, added with a couple of ice cubes, this is a delightful drink over dinner.

  • Drank this wine during a farewell dinner for an ex-colleague at New Ubin Seafood.

Eyebrows were raised when I brought this wine out. Is it a wine? Or is it a soft drink? Well, considering there is a non-drinker and a light drinker in the group and we were planning to have seafood, this wine was a safe choice.

A product of clever marketing by Rosemount, this wine combines all the elements to be a successful party drink. Light, tangy sweetness, fizzy, easy to drink with a low alcohol content, this is probably as fun as wines can go. Fresh zesty of lime and residue sugar, even my non alcoholic friends kept asking for more.

On retrospect its probably closer to a soft drink than a wine, but if you are looking for a wine to switch soft drink lovers to wine, this would be the wine to go for. Moreover, it does tastes better with ice.
