Drinks like a Bourdeaux. Plum and cherry taste, followed by smoky tannins that resolve with the fruit coming through. A bit of earth and minerals and some brine. Pleasant acidity often lacking in Cotes. Went well with stuffed peppers. Drink up! It is likely past its prime

Retailer tasting (@ O in H): The wine is a bit rustic with minerals and some metal, juicy fruits, good acidity and a touch of sweetness. No more notes, but an ok wine.

Just a notch better than the J.L. Chave 2010 St. Joseph, also more charming.
