This wine has been made by Laurent Guillet since 1987. Most of his vineyards are located in the Cote du Py. Light to medium scarlet color. This was a very floral wine with bright red fruit. Very drinkable with a smooth finish. Light bodied. Seems to be in its prime at 4 years old with supple tannins. Great $3 purchase on sale. 90 points.

Very weak nose with some cocoa, spice, rubber and a heavy grape note. I think this is the first tasting I had describing a grape note. The wine tastes a little darker than the nose. The chocolate and spice are still there but balance could be better. Acidity and tannins are both pronounced. This is a pretty good wine, but PQR is on the low side.

A somewhat unbalanced wine with aromas of strawberry, rubber and pepper. It has quite grippy tannins for the style and high acidity. Grapey palate, along with fresh red berries, oak and licorice root.

A superior Beaujolais offering. All components work very well together. Earthy, great acid, great mouthfeel and finish. 89-90.
