Still very young and very tightly wound. Lots of decanting brought out oodles of eucalyptus, oregano, dried cherries, raspberry and rose petal. Medium-full. This is only starting to fill in. Needs several more years to flesh out and show its true colors,

Decanted 4 hours. Pleasant nose. Plenty of tannins as would be expected. Tar, petrol, cherry, plum, leather, cedar or some other heavy wood. Earthiness and graphite. Fruit is in balance, finish is moderately long. Good mouthfeel. For a modestly priced bottle of Barolo, this is a fine wine.

Very young right now but shows the promise of something great in a few years. I decanted for about 3 hrs prior to drinking. Nice dark fruit aromas. Raspberry, blackberry, graphite, and a nice earthiness to it.

In Mauro Veglio's cellar (Piedmont, Italy): This is the first time I've tried this and it's clearly a fantastic wine. Made in minute quantities - the vat for this was very small in comparison to the others - and treated like a favourite child by Mauro. This outclassed all the others in complexity, although still a delicate, refined wine. Obviously these samples were difficult on the palate (although not on the nose) - I can't wait to get my hands on a mature example of this.
