Held for almost a decade in my cellar before opening. Wine was singing out of the bottle on the first pour. Initial nose was classic Bordeaux blend nose was of vegetables, barnyard, plums and some green autm leaves. The nose kept developing and some fruit started to come through an hour later. On the palate, a full body wine with luscious tannins and a mouth feel that punches way above it's in price point. The wine was extremely smooth. The nose shows the age much more than the palate. Also there is no browning of the rims. I do think the wine is in its prime. Although there is no hurry to drink I would pop this now and enjoy as this is very very enjoyable. Drank the rest of the bottle 2 nights later and the wine was even better. No signs of getting over the hill. Wish had a couple of more bottles in my cellar!

WOW, for a moderate to low priced Napa Cab, this is wonderful. It took 10-11 years of aging, but this wine is really showing plenty of the classic profiles of a high end Napa Cab. Sorry I only have 9 bottles left!

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It tastes like raisin and red currant. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes medium. Overall a very good California Cab.

I learned my lesson with the last bottle I tasted 4 months ago. At ten years of age, this needs to be a pop and pour. Right out of the bottle this exhibited dark cherry, plum, cassis, licorice and an underlying note of mint. Full bodied with well integrated but still noticeable tannins. A medium finish with a hint of oak. Time to drink up as this is unlikely to improve further.

My last bottle...not as amazing as I remember it was a few years ago, but also not terrible either. Drink up!
