It needed an hour to fill out, and then it was stunning. Silky and edgy, it has bright red fruits, tobacco, leather and earth. There’s a faint suggestion of tannins and it finishes with great cut. Could the 11s finally be starting to come around?

Straightforward Oregon Pinot. Tart cherry and cranberry fruit, medium body, opens up nicely after a couple of hours. Next day was completely different as dark cherry fruit came through and more earth undertones appeared. Drinking a little young right now.

Medium ruby. Nose has riper, delicious sweet red fruit with herb, pine and stem notes. Palate is approachable with light-to-medium bodied fresh red fruits. A simple and easy drinking wine right now.

Part of 2011 Oregon Pinot Noir tasting. I would have liked this better if the wood treatment were less. - Nose of wood notes, smoke and cherry - On the palate smokey, wood, dark cherry, velvety tannins, savory earth note.

I love all of Kelley Foxes pinots. Though the Maresh is my favorite, the Mirabai is great as well.
