My favourite bündner wine. Rather dark in color for a pinot. Smell and palate are very much in sync. Borad flavours with noticeable but not overpowering meaty pinot flavours, floral and slight roasted vanilla. Reminds me somewhat of the Plozza Uno in its harmonious and smooth way while still having body and structure. For me the best balance in such a wine.

A first taste of Swiss wines (Bern, Switzerland): Smoky and peaty with hints of soy. Wow, vibrant and energetic, this really pops on the palate. Quite sappy, although with time it feels a bit heavy. Somewhat shorter on the finish than the others with citrus notes and a chalky aspect. My #3 wine of the flight.

An introduction to Swiss wines (Our place, Bern, Switzerland): Tasted blind against other three Swiss PN and then followed over two days. Medium-light ruby, clear. Took a while to open up and gain complexity. On day 2 it was smokey and rather introvert, with fresh fruit in the background. On the palate it had a fresh, sweet and charming attack, which managed to keep a good intensity through to the mid-palate. Blood oranges on day one, rather darker fruit on day two and a saline note. Very fine and light tannins come to the fore only at the very end. Long finish. The juicier and rounder of the flight. Lovely.
