  • A leftover in the cellar, and should clearly have been drunk at least five years ago. Deep straw color verging on amber. The nose is clearly oxidized, but in a natural way that happens with aging, not sherry-like. Notes of vanilla and honey also emerges together with the nutty sherry aromas. Full bodied, almost sweet attack on the palate. The sweetness very soon gives way to a sherry dryness (amontillado) with hints of nuts and black olives. The finish is dry and almost tannic with a hint of alcohol. Good length. Fascinating wine; it is hard to like, but there is something there that absolutely is to like.

  • Always a bit worried when opening a white wine at ten years of age. But this is just good. Deep straw, almost golden colour with hint of green at the rim. Deep, fruity aromas of peach, red/yellow apples, lime, and a clear tone of petroleum (although quite reserved). Full bodied, sweet attack on the palate, sweet apple and peach with lime and citrus dominates an almost sweet wine. The acidity kicks in at the end, giving a refreshing, citrusy aftertaste with tones of chalk and petroleum. This has aged incredibly well, and is far better than what I remembered from last bottle. Drink or keep for at least five more years.

  • litt streng og klassisk Alsace-riesling på duft med eple, sitrus, mineraler og noe floraltoner. Veldig krisp munnfølelse, best med mat idag.
