Blind Champagne Tasting--Bring A Bottle That Represents Value: Tirage on this was 2020, with disgorgement in Sept 2022. I had read this wine sees 4 years on the lees but I'm not sure that is now true given these two dates on the back label. All of the six cepages are here, just missing Pinot Gris--not sure of the percentages of the blend. Anyway, good density with a spicy, chalk driven note. Crushed apple, I even sensed a little butter, candied/honeyed lime. There is a green tropical to the wine with a spicy finish. Second bottle of this now, and like the Laherte Freres Les 7 which is another field blend, the wine makes me think....I retained a small leftover amount from y/day's dinner and stoppered it up. Retasting today, much different context to taste in (quiet, well lit, no food, no other wines. And FWIW, these factors matter to me, as they do inform how wines show when I taste them. We cannot always taste in the context that is ideal for a note, but tonight's context is about as close as I can make it). A wine to make one think. The green tropical note remains, hard to describe but still here, maybe a green banana? The spicy quality has evolved to something akin to an infusion of fresh cardamom, with a generous, concentrated texture, yet the finish is neat and clean without heaviness. A unique wine, one you gotta sit with and ponder. I'll buy more of this because it's built with unique components, and the result tastes of that uniqueness, too.

Served blind. Bright fruity nose. Think fruit cup. First thing I wrote from the palate was "natural". Funky. Rich yet clean. Needed a bit more acidity. This has 6 different varieties in it which is a nod the Astrid's selection from a few weeks back. Again, not really a classic Champagne. More fun to try for me than want to buy. From lot 05/20 and disg 09/22.

I didn’t check the back label but i bought this a couple of months ago so recent disgorgement Beautiful: pear, citrus, subdued spices, beautiful florals. Very feminine and wonderful. Loved this.

Very good with the age. 2014 disgorgement, 2011 base. For the vintage it showed quite well with great color. Complete wine. Didn't speak to me as much as the other champagne next to it but hard to stop drinking.

May 2017 disgorgement. Not the ultimate in complexity, but terrifically balanced and a joy to drink.
