This deep-to-opaque ruby wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially sampled over the ensuing three hours. Laden with black cherry, ripe bramble fruit, smoked meat and loamy earth, it delivers its medium-bodied payload with fresh acidity, medium ripe tannins and seamless alcohol (13%). The middle palate is nicely dense and the smooth finish is medium in length. This excellent producer has crafted a wine that drinks impressively above its bloodline. Drink now-2021.
- Ruby color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a medium finish - A fine Cote du Rhone Villages. Not spectacular, but good. As with most wines, and my reviews, context matters. It excels with proper parings, and doesn't work with poor pairings.
