Dark garnet red. Long legs. Black cherry, vanilla notes. Sweet and oaky. High alcohol/hot and a nice smooth full mouth finish. Typical Barossa but much more robust. 2008 vintage consumed in 2016. Decanted for an hour. Cellar temp. Very nice And really enjoyed on its own without food. Definitely not past its prime. Newer vintages are definitely bolder with the high alcohol. Much sweeter and less full bodied with the generous aging. More developed. I would recommend giving this wine a resting period of a few years for it to reach its fullest potential. I buy and drink this immediately often. I really need to exhibit more patience with this one. Glad I have another 7 resting.

A big Shiraz that drinks well now but could still use more time. Big blackberry and black cherry with not so subtle hints of prune and vanilla . Inky and a full Juicy body. The wine is a little hot but big enough to compensate. I like a big Shiraz so my score reflects that. O6 was better but an improvement over the 07.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of fig. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of raspberry and black currant with a medium/full body. Linear texture - Solid Syrah strong fruit flavor. Expected more

Kind of juicy compared to the 06, but still quite good.
