Interesting nose with cherry, pine cones, iron filings and some old oak aromas. Quite agressive on the palate, the tannins and flavour are strong and full. Medium complexity on the palate, but not enough depth to be better than very good.

Impressive nose of blackberries and forest floor. On the palate the fruit has largely faded away leaving behind a predominance of wood. Past its prime.

This looks, smells and tastes pretty good, and if you didn't see the label or know the price, you might think it was a well-made 2004 village wine from . . . anywhere in Burgundy. Maybe it's just too young, but tasty cherry juice with nice acidity and supple tannins just doesn't seem like enough for a domaine wine from a respected house at age 17. I'll enjoy the rest of my stash but hope for a subtantial increase in weight, depth and earthiness.

Disappointing again. Medium depth but no style, no flair, no personality. It's mature and it's perfectly drinkable but it hard to find a reason why.

Consistent; enjoyable but rather light and non-specific. Barry's marvelous 1995 Meo Camuzet Clos Vougeot blew this away.
