Medium/deep ruby morphing into garnet. Not really getting much primary fruit on the nose or palate. Figs, prunes, cedar with some earth. Still enjoyable but I believe that it needs drinking up. Only one left.

Decanted 90 minutes before serving. Medium ruby. Herbs, stems, and black fruit. Similar flavors in an elegant, supple, medium weight package. I find little of the floral lift and smokiness that set Côte Rotie apart. Good but pretty generic Syrah. Looking back at my prior note, it was better a year ago.

Delicious. Doesn’t need a long decant. Drinking. Went beautifully with a savoury striploin.

Medium ruby. Med+ intensity - blackcurrant, blackberry, black plum, dried herbs, cedar, leather, coffee, chocolate, violets, cinnamon. Med+ acidity, smooth integrated tannins. Med+ finish. Suitable for further aging.

Eastman. My first of these, and ready to drink. Midweight, faithfully varietal, balance more than intensity, not showing much oak. I liked it.
