I agree with everything AVP said in the previous review except the notes about the body. The body is certainly heavier than a Pinot noir, and probably equivalent to a high quality, old-world Grenache based wine, but not as full bodied as other Douro wines such at the 2011 Quinta de la Rosa Douro red. There is no hurry to drink these. I have 2 more bottles and will probably wait about 5 years to try the next bottle.

A delightfully fresh nose for Douro: strawberries and plum with floral notes and herbaceous touches. Full bodied and pretty structured palate with again totally ripe but still fresh fruit, tight tannins, liquorice, herbs and graphite. Quite long. Straightforward but rather yummy Douro red.
