  • Day one: Started off savory and a little dirty on PNP, changed to floral and perfume then to a little sweet undertones kind of like candy. garnet and starting to brick. clear and almost pinot noir like in color, you can see your fingers on the other side cleary. light bodied wine with nice acidity that carries through to a mod long finish. slight metallicness in the finish, very slight. has some iron qualities on the palate as well. has some decent life left in it. drink till 2018; will edit after trying tomorrow.

  • Modest light color garnet, but nose and palate are quite full and complex for such a light color. Aroma of strawberry and cherry opens to palate of light and distinct fruit and some length to the finish. A very good wine for Mediterranean dishes such as roast chicken with olives, lemon and oregano.

  • Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium-light cherry color. Nice nose of plums, tobacco, leather, strawberry. Brisk and bracing on the palate, as fruit and spice flavors blend nicely in a juicy acid profile. Finishes well with light grip and low tannins. A little lighter since my last sampling, this is a completely respectable midweek bottle of vino, lip-smacking and thirst-quenching. It has modest ambitions and it fulfills them. Really fulfills them. Everybody needs these kinds of wines. At $18 before the discount, a great QPR too.

  • For my taste this is an incredible value at under $15 for club members. This wine pours a deceptively light translucent red. Reminding me to never judge a book by the cover, I fully expected a weak nose and dilute flavor profile. Was I ever wrong! While the aromas are just a bit muted the strawberry is certainly present. Notes of tangy plum and sharp cherry are nicely backed by an acidity that wraps the whole package up just beautifully. What a nice surprise!

  • Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Medium plum and black cherry color. Very nice nose of clove, licorice, cherries. Rich but racy on the palate, with a deep flavor profile of pomegranate, cinnamon, vanilla, and tart acidity over a light-medium bodied texture. Finishes quickly with anise notes over very low tannins. This is a well-made bottle of vino, rich, juicy, and spicy. Completely worth your time, but especially excellent at only $17. The firm acids lead me to think that this wine could even stand some bottle age.
