2014 New York Wine Experience Trip; 10/14/2014-10/21/2014 (New York City, NY): With a highly perfumed nose of lavender, red currants, Asian spices and tobacco, this deep ruby Syrah grabs one's attention from the get-go. It is full-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic and firmly tannic. Red fruit, tobacco, earth and ganache flavors persist nicely through the mid-palate. Concluding long but with some tannic grip, this iteration of La Chapelle will require some time in the cellar. Drink 2020-2035.
