  • we had the bottle after some drc included "la tache" from 2006,2009,1999, the last probably one of the best wines ever had with 1990 , (this for my taste), but this is really a unique bottle, if you drink this blind , it is so young so fresh , so dark, I know the cellar it came from, and it lay there since the beginning ! blind it could be a bottle from 2006 or 2009... , but it is 20 years older.....hohohoe , the nose was fresh , round and sweet with red fruit , strawberry's, little fat as it would had a lot of sun ,but in the mouth it was fresh with a lot of acidity, like it would go on for another 20 years, after 2 hours it change to another of my favorite features, finesse and delicate , great great wine , I hope to drink it once more in the future , but the bottles are so rare, thank you FDC to have share this bottle,

  • World's Greatest, Hong Kong - Night II (Garden Suite, Peninsula Hotel): Nose is clean and pure and Initially quite sweet. A quick swirl and this absolutely blossoms into floral red and black cherry. Quite big actually. This Jayer flight is so soft and elegant and requires a lot of attention. The ‘89 is a little roasted and has more in the way of that tomato note I get in Rouget sometimes. On the palate this is fresh, round, and structured. A little sweet, but very good, imagine about peak performance here.

  • @Ledbury- accompanied by a great company of wines, this started as a red fruit, sausage almost a bit stewy but opened up to be a maturing very enjoyable spicy candy burgundy. Very well balanced and medium length it shows very well for the vintage

  • Last minute tasting set up after a very boozy lunch but sometimes the best decisions are made under the influence. The first of a magnificent pair of HJ CP, the 89 exhibited a wide array of berry aromas. Still fresh as new and surprisingly smooth and round in the mouth. Hints of earth and some leather shavings throughout this prestinely structured and uber long finish. Legendary.
