Dense and voluptuous with darkish red fruit, oak spice and cherries. It had good power and grip on the palate, which reflected the vintage. It will certainly improve with further aging for the wine to be fully-integrated. 91+

wow, what a deal... some time long ago I apparently bought this for $65... this is a great wine, very voluptuous (esp for a 2010) but without being over-bearing, big red fruit and nice acidity for balance... too bad that (I suspect) it probably costs $150 or more to replace today

a true pleasure, this is why we chase the elusive / extraordinary red burg bottles... this had tons of acidity when opened... I thought that was a good sign hoping it would round out a bit with air... drank it over about six hours and it went through the woods on the way to gramma's house... lithe / lifted, textured mouthfeel - maybe cinnamon?, beautiful umami spices and savoryness (but not overly so), beautiful red / purple fruit -- but never alone, always with a companion... great bottle... our course I didn't find any bottle available in the US after drinking this... amazingly I paid only $67 a bottle in 2017... should have bought case

excellent acidity and minerality w slightly sour cherry. Very light mouth feel. Try again in late-2022
