Drank alongside Ilan Mazoyeres from same vintage. Very balanced, easy drinking for Gevrey. More fruit and less acid than the Ilan, but overall a more complete and rewarding drink.

Darker color. Sour cherry sap on the nose. Pungent. Smells like Cherry Kirsh. Lovely flavor core of sour cherries. Long finish, fascinating flavors. Concentrated. A trace of bitterness on the finish. I have always liked this wine year in and year out. Girardin is unfairly dismissed for his reds sometimes especially when it comes to his Charmes.

Extremely smooth, complex, with a touch of sweetness and pure fruit. Great to taste.
