Chambolle Musigny and Morey St. Denis from 2011 and 2009 (Beltramo's, Menlo Park): Moderately deep ruby. Tart, sharp red and black berryish aromas, and increasing perfume. A light, elegant mix of mulled red fruits and herbs. Here, the wood is much less prominent than in the Pousse d'Or. Nice texture, gently tannic at first, but there is definitely some structure there, and it closes down in the glass.

Light ruby. Subtle earth and high toned mint. Light, gently sweet red fruit on the entry, nice supple feel with moderate oak. Dominant green tones through the mid-palate and finish, which are much too pronounced for me. I wouldn't bet on the balance here.
