This wine has really improved in the 2-1/2 yrs since our last btl. We did PnP but I could see a decant too to get rid of the sediment at the end and to open the nose further. That said, this showed so much more depth this time around and was a very easy btl to drain tonight with homemade pizza. Dark chocolate, red fruit, tobacco and acidity enough to keep this feeling fresh and energetic. A very tasty, lush and complex modern interpretation of Tempranillo that avoids going over the top. 14% ALC. This is solidly in its drinking window and should easily go another 3yrs+. Don't hesitate to pull a cork as this drinks superbly now. Paid $54 and worth all of that and more.
This is open for business and now ready to go. There is initially some fairly over the top woody notes, but these blow off and leave a very refined nose with just a hint of coffee and older wood. Lovely wine, will go at least another 10 years
