Drank from Bin East 23. Metropolitan Grill take out dinner with Mike and Katy. Light citrus and honey suckle nose. Deep dark yellow. Full chewy body oak and honey finish. Still lovely 12 year old wine. 8/10.

Three years since I tasted this last; would estimate this is now in its peak window
Versatility astounded me; aperitif, then with a spicy chicken basque, revealing different aspects of minerality and fruit. NOT a good pairing with brie
Smoothness is there without detracting from the balanced freshness and apricot mineral

I opened this just prior to our 2/7/15 Australian Rhone tasting. It had a deep, expressive bouquet of pear, apricot, honeysuckle, citrus, white pepper and spice aromas. The palate was rich and layered with flavors of pear, honeysuckle, apricot, lime, white pepper and spice.

Pale, straw yellow. Quite viscous with an oily sheen. Nose: muted at first, flowery bouquet. Slight lemon and stone. Dried apricot becomes strong. Slight vanilla. Straw comes alive after 30 minutes. Palate: medium bodied, peaches and tangerines quite prevalent. High viscosity. Bit of rose water. Slight limestone, and some coconut notes. After around one hour the fruit gets sweet and the acidity doesn't enter until later, and fades quicker. Finish: alcohol is only evident on the finish as the acidity really stands out with the tangerine that fades to vanilla and starfruit. Would give it higher points if it were a bit less expensive.
