On the nose, stewed prunes, purple flowers, chocolate, and a note of ground coffee. Aromatic jammy fruit on the palate in a warm bath of acid, salty base, long aromatic acid finish. A food wine, a burger wine, a lovely Saturday evening wine.

Nose of dark cherries, prunes, sweet spices, coffee. Gentle presence of deep jammy fruit on the palate with a sweet acid undertow, aromatic fruit driven finish. Excellent with albondigas de camarones.

From memory a nose of roses and tar, with good concentration on the palate and a nice acid balance. Good with a mushroom polenta and braised carrots. Probably 89-90.
