Decanted, and showing its development nicely. Aromas present with notes of smoke and earth, hints of eucalyptus lay behind scents of dark cherry, mocha, pomegranate, earth, leather, wood and dried flowers. On the palate structured and in it's prime, dark cherry notes show a slight dried side, currant, flowers, vanilla, oak, chocolate, leather and herbs and eucalyptus.
Overall, showing well and has life left in it. A little air and this will show well.
Nose: ripe cherry, toasty oak, leather, menthol, and some clove. Can smell some age on this, especially on day 3. Still worth decanting since this is more expressive now than on day 1. Great nose. Palate: ripe cherry, integrated oak, a little leather, a little menthol. This is really a great wine on day 3, proving it still has plenty of life left. I did use vacuum stoppers each day to get excess air out. A bit of a dusty and certainly full mouthfeel, and a medium plus finish. Happy to have 2 more in the cellar. 90-91 pts.
