Really a timid Pinot Gris, I have found Ponzi to produce more timid, less complex wines that are easy-drinking and that is not what we are looking for, but I am sure some are. Did not have the depth or complexity we were looking for and fell way short on the acidity we wanted for our seafood dish. We are steering away from Ponzi... All said this was a decent wine, just not what we were looking for.

By the glass at the BA lounge. Pale yellow very light in colour and this sets the tone for the whole experience. Light on the nose, clean, mineral, light citrus. On the palate it takes it time. The first feel is of a light , thin wine but it grows into a much better proposition, quite citrusy, good acidity. Interesting wine to say the least but could use some more depth. 88 but a good 88

Nice nose of citrus, pear, yellow apple. Fairly fizzy, and lots of yeasty flavor. Since I don't see any other TNs commenting on this, I'm guessing there is some secondary fermentation going on in this bottle. This tempers a little bit with time in the glass, but never goes away. Somewhat like an almost flat sparkling wine.

A bit late on the bottle. Still holds its mild character although too soft and lacks acidity.
