  • Magnificent and drinking beautifully right now, though still with more time to evolve. Wish I had another bottle. . .

At 45 mins decanted: Medium garnet in the glass, strong aromas of stewed red fruits, bubblegum, and a hint of espresso. The palate reflects strong acidity and tastes a bit hot from the high alcohol, almost a touch out of balance. Tannins remain present and not fully opulent, though gentle enough. Otherwise, delightfully medium-bodied and a really nice, long-lasting finish.

At 3+ hrs decanted: The red fruit and bubblegum aromas have given way to fig and hoisin, along with carob and a hint of undergrowth. The palate really opens up and comes into balance, with the acidity, tannin, and alcohol all now well balanced. Complexity, structure, and that long finish. Tremendous.

Food: Paired with seared duck breast with a fig reduction sauce and sauteed mushrooms; complemented the wine well but not a perfect pair. Something was off there, maybe a too much “like for like” pairing?

  • Wonderful bouquet of ripe berries, cherries, stone, undergrowth. Full bouquet, sweet, ripe, followed by some acidity, freshness and tannins, leading to a spicy, sweet and sour finish.

  • Still brick red and fresh, very acidic. Very convincing with grilled red meat.

  • minor stains up the cork; some bricking; mature red fruit, more savory than sweet now; a great food match

  • This bottle is singing right now. Purchased direct from Fuligni, incredibly well integrated with loads of bright red fruit, highlighted by raspberries and cherries. Nice mint, tobacco and chalk undertones. Still has great structure but has softened nicely. Had this, decanted, over the course of two hours and was definitely wine of the night. Started at cellar temp and came up nicely over time. Beautiful wine and highly recommended.
