Ruby color, no bricking. There is a lot of cedar on the nose - a big wine. A little alcohol too, even after a 3-hour decant: a hot cigar box. Dusty cherries, violets, dust and leather. Medium acidity cuts through the wine. Grippy dry tannins medium-weight. There's a lot hidden even after 3 hours

This wine is coming around nicely. The nose shows a mix of vibrant red fruit, rose petals, damp forest floor, black tea, worn leather, fresh mushrooms and minty overtones. The tannins is starting to round up while there's still lots of youthful tension to the fruit. Feels overall ready to drink but will keep for another 5 years.

Blue fruits, autumn leaves, rubbed mint. Delicate rendition of Barolo from a classic vintage. Finely etched tannins. Still fresh yet I don't think this will maintain its vibrancy for another 10 years. Peaking now and will drink well over the next 5 years.

Clear medium light red. The nose is all menthol and cinnamon. Dry tannic mouth.
No Barolo character at all. I will say flawed but not cooked or corked. Strange.
