  Medium deep color, big fruity nose, red fruits, sweet flowers, vanilla. Big flavors of dark fruits, hints of cedar, tobacco and black pepper, sweet, jammy. Firm acidity, mild tannins. Medium length, prominent oak aftertaste. This is not my style of wine and I would not buy it, especially not at $25, but it is well-made if you like big, fleshy, oaky California style wines.

  Curtis tasting room: Meaty aromas with dried herb, spice, cassis and blackberry. Dark berry and cherry fruits on the palate with eastern spice and floral notes. Well balanced and juicy with polished tannins and a full finish. Very nice.
