  • Clear red with a dark core, only hints of amber at the rim. Quite open and expressive nose with sweet strawberries, raspberries and sweet cherries, the whole complemented by sweet vanilla and a smoky tone. Medium bodied attack, somewhat rustic tannins for a burgundy (but quite typical of NSG, as I understand), good concentration of fruit on the mid palate - strawberries, raspberries and cherry. A hint of sweet oak at the finish. Good length dominated by sweet red fruit aromas. Fine balance, fresh and long, This is good. At its optimum right now, but will keep well.

  • Think I was given this bottle. Served slightly chilled from the wine fridge which was nice for the first glass letting the bottle warm up beyond that. Quite a dark Pinot but lots of fresh Burgundian fruit. Enjoyable wine but lacked a bit of nuance but think I opened this way too early to show too much.

  • Happy New Year!

Very black cherries, black plum with extra skin contact, blackberries, black raspberries, poached strawberries, dark spices with heat, clove, nutmeg, mix dark cola, dry top soils, crushed, dry, crushed rocks, eucalyptus, mint, dry herbs-bay leaf, dark rich earth, woody, leather, tobacco, grilled, heavy seasoned meats with candied, florals that are; dark, purple, red and some blue. Nice acidity. The finish’s is nice but needs more time in bottle to balance-soften. Yet, is persistent as hell.

Needs 3-8 years in bottle. However, with vinaigrette salad with caramelized walnuts & dry, dark cherries...perfect. But, she’s a very dirty Burgundy on her own at this point.

The funny thing, I sadly don’t remember buying this wine. Hazards of owning too much wine in so many locations.

  • Medium ruby, opened right up. Elegant with a nice long finish. This wine is open for business.
