The back label says this is "dry gewürztraminer" and tells you that "this white wine is aromatic, spicy, full-bodied, and DRY." It's not a beerenauslese or anything, but the finish is (sorry guys) just slightly sweet. Perhaps that's an illusion caused by all the juicy fruit, tropical and Asian on the palate. Lovely stuff, at its peak! Served at our post-Thanksgiving leftovers festival with fresh sauteed scallops followed by spiced/herbed turkey breast.

Been buying this wine for decades and this vintage was disappointing. As others have noted, did not have the acidity and complexity that makes it such a fun food wine. It is good, not great. If the subsequent vintages are not better, I am done and that would be sad. It has been our "go-to" T-giving wine, but if we had served this to guests, it would not get the kudos prior vintages have gotten at our household.

Honey, butterscotch, and slight clove spice aromas. Dry, tart but balanced.

Sweet pineapple and spice aroma, taste notes of Apple, minerality, and nice tartness in finish. Great with breaded filets of cod.
