  • This is absolutely lovely right now. The color is rather advanced with a bit of a haze, but lovely perfume and absolutely lush, mature flavors.

  • Aerated to decanter 1 hour, served non-blind. Color still holding, though pretty well bricked. Polished aromas of cigar box, cedar chest, some pencil shavings and dusty red and black berries. The flavors mirror the nose on this medium-bodied beauty. Gains complexity and even a little weight by the second glass. Long, seamless finish that instantly brings a smile to your face as you slowly close your eyes and give in to the wine, and its impressive journey. Just a joy to drink. 12,5% abv, drink thru 2019, highly recommended

  • This wine is drinking very well now. Beautiful perfumed nose that Margaux is famous for. Very closed at first so open for a good 3 hours. Violets, blackcurrant, cedar, leather, with hints of sandalwood and herbs. Silky mouthfeel, delicious rich blackcurrant and black cherry palate, background of spice, eucalyptus, cedar, luscious tannins and vibrant acidity. Delicious.

  • Opened 3 hours in advance, tried over the time and decided not to decant.
Crimson still bright colour with orange edges.
Ripe, elegant, complex margaux nose of dark berries, leather, forestfloor.
Medium body, still present but silky tannins, elegant notes of dark berries, cedar, cigarbox, leather. Very well aged without disturbing aging-tones. Long, complex finish. Evolves nicely over 2 hours in the big Riedel Bordeaux-glas... perfect mature Margaux!

  • Classic French Boudreaux the wine was silky soft no earth, lead pencil, only subtle blackberry Flavor - incredibly it held up well my friend Dave said it smelled crappy at first and then blossomed
