  Nose shows soft seductive spice box, mulled strawberry, pine needle. Soft, resolved palate with mild acidity. This is in a lovely place, showing maturing flavors and yet still offering plenty of fruit. Perhaps not yet at peak, but I would not hesitate to enjoy this now. Utterly gorgeous and unique wine.
  The following day from Boston round, the smell of this wine was so delirious I laughed aloud. Count yourself lucky if you have this in your cellar.

  This showed ripe, soft strawberry fruit with some developing complexity. It was much better and more complete on day 2, with Koepfle spice and additional interest. I'll hold at least three to five years before opening another.

  Qualitätswein AP 3536 1 13; 12.5% abv. Fass Selections; T Elenteny Imports, New York, NY. #30/750 ml. Cork-finished.Absent capsule, as sold. From Spiegelau Pinot Noir glass. Typically clherry-red and transparent of color. Whiff of sulfur and smoke as I remember previous bottle, with a slight hint of sauerkraut, lots of high-note presence.
  
  Somewhat lactic, with smoky-bitter presence, reasonable length, and nice summary finish, again a touch lactic. Will use to wash down a Beppo Uno classic pizza with prosciutto and extra sauce.

  Alles Gute Zum 40 for Steffen P. (Fabi & Rosi): Slightly cloudy and delicate. It went well with the venison entree.

  Transparent chrry red with some 2-10 mm edge fading.
  
  Smoke, bitter-smelling cherry, crushed cherry pits, leather, rose attar, clove.
  
  Energetically bitter, delicate and with very fine tannins, very much a delicate style. 90/100.
  
  Drink now.
